Tropical Rainforest surrounds the city of Cairns, and there is no better way to experience this World Heritage rainforest than combining a Champagne Balloons hot air balloon ride with a Skyrail and Kuranda Rail Tour. Enjoy the picturesque landscape of the Cairns Highlands at sunrise before your Champagne Balloons tour driver transfers you to Skyrail Caravonica Station at the foot of the rainforest clad Kuranda Range.
Allow 1.5 hours to travel up the range, skimming the rainforest canopy, and take time to explore the two rainforest interpretation stops at Red Peak and Barron Falls Station along the way.
At approximately 11.30 am you arrive in Kuranda – the village in the rainforest – for free time to go shopping and sightseeing and explore the wonderfully diverse Kuranda Markets.
In the afternoon, you board the Kuranda Scenic Railway at Kuranda Station with the train departing at 2.00pm. With a stop for photos at the breath-taking Barron Falls, you will arrive at the historic Freshwater Train Station where you will be transferred to your accommodation. Please ask one of the friendly bus drivers at the station. (earlier departure if travelling on the earlier train).
